Grade 2 Listed Building Refurbishment.
We were asked to look at refurbishing a grade 2 listed town house in Headingley. So with English Heritage we came up with a plan to sympathetically modernise this beautiful property.
The loft was a series of small rooms so we opened it up in to one large room with a large Velux windows, exposed beams and sanded wooden floors. We also made a side room in to a bathroom with a large shower and steam room.
Moving down though the house we fitted a family bathroom and WC, decorated all bedroom and sanded the floors.
On the ground floor the reception rooms had new cornicing, decoration and sanded floors. The original stone floor in the hall and kitchen was refurbished and a designer kitchen was fitted by DeVol.
The outside also need extensive work too. All windows were refurbished or replaced, the wooden gutters and cast iron drain pipes renewed and the stone work repointed and repaired.
The rear court yard had new flag stones and in the garden a garage was demolished and a walled patio built.
